Creating Smiles for a Lifetime
As a dentist, I appreciate the opportunity to serve my community. I am passionate about caring for people of all ages, from two to 102, and helping them attain and keep healthy, beautiful smiles. Every patient is unique: their goals, concerns, clinical situation, and their life are specific to them. I work closely with each patient to figure out what approach is right for their needs. This ensures they have timely, appropriate care and finish with a smile they love sharing.
My parents, all my immediate family, and most of my extended family are involved in healthcare. My father is a family practice physician, my mother is a dental hygienist, and my sister is in her ENT residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Becoming a dentist was the natural path for me, as I love working with my hands and being able to change lives while doing so.
I love how being a dentist brings me into contact with whole families. Whether I’m seeing a toddler at their first visit and helping them get excited about caring for their teeth, or restoring a grandparent’s ability to chew comfortably, I’m helping. I enjoy getting to know patients as people and learning what’s important to them. Our conversations never fail to make me think, make me smile, and make me a better rounded person.
Education and Continuing Education
I attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney for my undergraduate studies. I was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, AZ.
I continue to further my dental education in all aspects of oral healthcare. However, I’ve concentrated on dental implants and completed more than 400 hours of continuing education in implant and sedation dentistry. I have received an Associate Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists(ICOI), and am working toward a fellowship in DOCS Education for sedation. I am also a graduate of Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.
The ability to provide the best possible care, tailored to each patient’s needs, is essential. I keep up to date through continuing education, to learn about new techniques, products, and treatments. I want to use the most advanced approaches and technology to enhance the patient’s experience and deliver the best results.

Personal Life
I was raised in McCook, in the southwest part of the state. Now I call Grand Island my home. My wife Anna grew up here and graduated from Northwest High School. She has her BSN and has practiced as a registered nurse. Right now, she’s a stay-at-home mom with our two young boys, Ben and Evan, and our new daughter Sadie.
Being with my family is important to me. I love time with the boys and watching them grow. I also enjoy sharing some of my hobbies with them: I love being outdoors, especially when we’re camping, fishing, and hunting.
In the Community
I feel it’s essential to be an active part of one’s community, to give back and help others. I volunteer for the Third City Community Clinic. I speak with the high school students and dental hygiene students about dentistry and oversee their patient care. I’m actively involved at Resurrection Catholic Church.
